Our Cancellation Policy
We’re Makin’ Waves reserves the right to collect fees for late cancellations and no shows. Our stylists income comes directly from services that they provide for you. Late cancellations and missed appointments dramatically impact their income, as well as effect overall business when we turn away other customers from times that are already reserved for your appointment. We truly value your business and hope that you will understand our position in this sensitive situation.
Please contact us to cancel no less than 24 hours for appointments that take 1 hour or less (haircuts, manicures, pedicures and some facials). Please contact us to cancel no less than 48 hours for appointments of 1.5 hours or more (colors, hilites, relaxers, mani/pedi combos, some facials and waxing). 50% of missed appointment will be due upon reschedule. 100% due in the case of a no show appointment upon reschedule Management has discretion of charges in cases of first offense, illness, emergency situations and weather that allow less than the requested cancellation time.
We reserve the right to ask for pre-payment of appointments in cases of more then one offense and/or for late or chronic cancellations or no shows. We will require 50% of appointment to be prepaid for appointments in length of 1.5 hours or more scheduled within the 48 hour window.
We reserve the right to request client to reschedule for arrivals 15 minutes or more past scheduled appointment time. This will be at the stylists discretion and fees may apply.
Reminder Calls & Emails
Please note that this is a COURTESY. It is the clients responsibility to know when the appointment date and time is scheduled for. In the event that we leave a message, are not able to reach you or you do not receive your email it is not salons responsibility and fees will apply.
Our Commitment to You
We know that respect of time goes both ways. If we need to cancel your appointment in less then 24 hours due to stylist illness or family emergency, we will do everything in our power to honor your appointment within 24-48 hrs with a We're Makin' Waves staff member, or no less then 1 week with your requested stylists.
In the event that your stylist is running 20 minutes late or more we will make an attempt to reach you to let you know your stylists is running late. This will give you the opportunity to make use of your time or to reschedule. If we are unable to honor this commitment we will offer you an appropriate discount. We appreciate your attention and understanding, as well as the opportunity to serve you.
All returns must be made within 2 weeks of purchase. If purchase was made outside of a service appointment and we cannot track the purchase it must be accompanied by a receipt. Unopened and not used products made within the two week time frame will be accepted no questions asked. If you are not happy with a hair product purchase made from a professional recommendation of your stylist, we will accept it within the 2 week time frame. Cosmetics and skincare retail purchases are FINAL sale. We will accept defective product with the time limit. REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AS A STORE CREDIT ONLY.
We're Makin' Waves stylists take the quality of their work very seriously. In the event that you are unhappy with your service we will do everything we can to make you happy. It is preferred that you see the same stylist to give them the opportunity to correct the problem and learn from the experience. If you are unwilling to see the same stylist we will be happy to accommodate your request with another stylist. Do over requests must be made within a 2 week time frame. Any do-over requests past the 2 week time frame will result in at least a partial charge. Management will work with you for any reasonable requests we DO NOT offer cash refunds.
